1. Student-centered research projects where the student plays a primary role in both project design and authorship

2. Research projects which link the impact of water and soil contamination
on human health, and test meaningful solutions

3. Broadening participation of underrepresented students in the Geosciences through culturally relevant pedagogy and engagement at the high-school level
